The Coaching Experience
What I do is really different. I no longer believe in the concept of "it's just math" for weight loss, meaning: eat less, exercise more and you'll have the body you've always dreamed of. It is not that simple and there are many more factors that contribute to our weight struggles. I approach nutrition, weight, body image, chronic dieting and digestion from the root causes which are stress, life factors and our relationship with food and the world. I help people get to their goals by working with them from the inside out.
How is My Approach Different?
For far too long, we’ve been inundated by negative messages about food, weight and diet. We’ve been told that we’re willpower weaklings or that we need more control. The majority of nutrition experts promote conflicting advice. The result is that people are confused about what to eat, and how to have a happy relationship with food and a healthy metabolism. In my professional practice, I combine many of the best strategies from nutrition science and eating psychology. By eliminating all the “shoulds and shouldn’ts”, I focus on what’s right for your body and your personal style at this time in your life.
As we work together in this way, eating and health issues become a place of exploration. Instead of seeing such challenges as the enemy, they become opportunities for growth and self improvement. I help clients reach their highest goals, not through strategies that punish, but through strategies that nourish. Together, we'll get you where you want to go.

The Process
I work with clients 1:1 by phone, Skype or in person at my Gypsum, Colorado location. The first session consists of a longer assessment and typically takes 60-75 minutes. Then, I usually meet with clients every week or two for an average of 6 months. I offer a free 30 minute "discovery" phone session for those who are interested in exploring their current challenges and goals.

I fully recommend Coach Neshama. She is warm and compassionate but perhaps even more than that, she holds s space for you that is accepting, inclusive and safe. I have always felt comfortable speaking with Neshama about very personal things. She devotes her time during your session entirely to you. She is focused completely on you with the intension of getting you to the place you want to be. I am a better person for the time I have spent with Neshama and I recommend her unconditionally. |
